My name is Rick, and I’ve been baking breads and goodies since my college days. Back then, I’d make breads and treats for my five college roommates. We were a particularly social group of guys in a big new apartment and often had friends over, as one does in college. (OK, OK, we were the party instigators. I’m sure you figured that out already.)

Anyway, all the men in my family have been chefs at some point in our lives. My dad was a chef his entire life, and he taught me how to cook and run a kitchen, so I guess I got comfortable creating different kinds of foods early in life. I like cooking for people and seeing them enjoy what I create.

My signature banana bread has undergone 10 years of refinement. I started off with a great base recipe and have created different varieties, always getting feedback from my friends. Most of them have been (happily) taste-testing each version and helping me create the wonderful recipe we have today.

My cookies used to be something I just made around the holidays, but friends keep asking me to make them for parties and dinners all year long, so I finally took the hint, and now they’re on the permanent menu.
